The difference between a good instructor and a bad instructor PART 1

As most of my members know, I became an instructor as over the years I've attended many, many classes and have witnessed bad and good instructors.

TELL THEM YOUR NAME!

My pet hate is the instructor not introducing themselves at the start of the class, it only takes about 30 seconds to do this. I always introduce myself, even though not everyone may not remember my name by the end! I always try, especially with new members, to remember their names, and say their names frequently when offering encouragement (it also helps me remember their names!) I took over a pilates class about 6 years ago and one of the members said the previous instructor who had taught them for a few years never once tried to learn anyone's name. This helps the members connect to the instructor more personally and l feel the instructor does not care enough about the class to do this.
